Fathers are an important part of a child’s life.  At Alpha we encourage father participation in the learning process.  Our desire is to be a support to the dads.  They are welcome to join the mother at her appointments.  We will listen to the concerns that they are facing.  We will work with the whole family to provide help and hope to the men as well as the women. 

It is our hope to begin a ministry that focuses on the fathers and their specific needs when facing an unexpected pregnancy.  We recognize the challenge that this creates and want to support these men in a greater capacity.  As we look around and see the tragedies unfolding in the city of Philadelphia, we recognize the impact of children growing up without strong support from their fathers.  Our hearts desire is to mentor the men who come to us and enable them to be the fathers that their children desperately need.  Please pray that a ministry of this nature will have the staffing and funding needed to begin as soon as possible.
