See unPLANNED, the Story of Abby Johnson |

March 26, 2012
Alpha Pregnancy Services invites you to a showing of unPLANNED,a documentary about how Abby Johnson left Planned Parenthood and joined the Pro Life movement.
Abby had worked in a Planned Parenthood facility in Bryan, Texas for eight years and had risen to the position of clinic director. One day in September 2009, she assisted in an ultrasound-guided abortion and saw for the first time the clearly formed child in the womb react in pain to the procedure. At that point, she knew she couldn’t work there anymore, and shortly thereafter she left the clinic and walked into the offices of Coalition for Life, a Pro Life group down the street. Her story is deeply moving, showing the grace of God in her life and the sustained witness of Christians who had reached out to her and supported her when she left.
This documentary will challenge you to get involved and encourage you if you are already involved.
Alpha is planning a series of showings this spring in locations around the Philadelphia area. We are still working on scheduling them, and we will announce places and times as soon as we arrange them.
In the meantime, you can watch a trailer here, and please contact us if you'd like to help arrange for a screening near you. |

Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. Luke 6:38

"The City Needs Change" is a light-hearted way to raise funds that enable Alpha to provide its free services to clients. It's an easy and enjoyable way to provide much needed support for Alpha. Fill a baby bottle with spare change. Bring a smile to your face as you think about a little one and a mother thriving and filled with hope. |
We started the year with a campaign for churches to fill bottles in January for Human Life Month, and it was such a great success that we’d like to keep it going.
If your church already did it, think about doing it again later this year. If you didn’t do it yet, consider doing it now. Or just keep circulating those bottles all year long.
Here’s how it works. We supply the bottles for you to use. You make them available to the people in your church to fill. Then we pick them up again.
We encourage you to sign up. Think about someone who can coordinate this in your church (or think about doing it yourself). To find out more about what's involved, click here to download our job description. It will tell you all you need to know.
It’s not very hard, but it makes a big difference to us.
Thank you so much. |
