Being a single parent changed my life because I had to grow up really fast and make some real tough decisions. Having a baby takes time and patience, but I would not change it for the world. My daughter changed me into a young independent mother with goals I would like to accomplish in the near future to give my child a better life. When I first found out I was pregnant, I was undecided on what to do. I knew I wanted to keep my child because I already had an abortion in 2008, and I really took that hard, so I knew if I would have another I would have so much guilt. But at the same time I was very stressed because my family was not supportive, the baby’s father was not there, and I just felt like I was alone. Alpha helped me a lot. My case worker has been a great support since day one, and I really enjoy her company. She listens to me and gives me a lot of feed back. If I never was referred to them, I probably would have had the abortion. Since I had my daughter, my life has been complete and brought so many blessings in my life.
